FAQs

FAQs:

  • What if I pay a retainer and the company produces no qualified candidates?

We have never had that happen. We normally fill positions in a 30 – 60 day time frame, however there have been more difficult positions that have taken longer. We don’t guarantee a time period because we can’t Control how you are going to react to our candidates, but we will find qualified candidates for you. And if you react by reviewing resumes, conducting telephone interviews, and inviting in the candidates you like for site interviews on a timely basis, then we will fill the position.

  • How are the fees applied in a retained search?

We work on a percentage of the annual base salary of the position. One half of that is due upon initiation of the search, and the other half is due when we successfully place a candidate with you. When a position is in a salary range, we set the initial retainer fee according to the average of the range, and then we adjust the second billing to reflect the total fee based on the outcome of the final salary the candidate agreed upon. The second half is billed and is due upon the candidates’ start date.

  • My company won’t pay up front – but we’d like to try your services?

No – that is contingency work and we don’t work that way. One of the reasons our fees are lower is that we are professionals, and are going to get paid for our time. For example – you retain us to find a Vice-President / Chief Operating Officer, and we are three or four weeks into the search, we’ve shown you two or three candidates and suddenly your president or parent replica rolex company places a hiring freeze on you. We’ve accrued long distance costs, recruiter’s salaries, research costs, etc. on conducting your search. We are professionals and we are going to be paid for our time and effort
